hinfarm - 2/6/2026 11:11 Will it get a discount from the Packer? Yes Have you ever seen “bully” ground beef at 80% less than the normal ground beef in the store? I haven’t So someone is getting gored here

Have you ever seen boar meat labeled and discounted at a store?

Me either.    But I’ll guarantee it goes into expensive processed meats and we get basically nothing for them.

So how much do the cattle packers discount a steer that looks/acts like a bull?

An intact bull will have virtually zero effect on meat taste. The same cannot be said of a boar. In fact our old butcher described bull hamburger as a sweeter flavor and my experience has been exactly that.
