nc ks | won't switch acres too much, but a better than normal bean crop here usually has more potential for gain in profitability than corn. We can hit a lick and grow cornbelt bean yields but rarely can approach cornbelt dryland corn yields. Nitrogen prices will probably skew our acres more than grain prices here. We plant a lot of corn in june and I may tire of the N price by then and let the bean planter roll on. | |
