It's not the when, it's the where. I'm not leaving ignorant heifers in a big pasture with draws and ponds and timber to make stupid first time mom mistakes when I can bring them home and run them in a grass trap with a lane to the cattle barn if they need a hand or lessons on bonding with her new blessing.
