north central kansas | I posted several months ago about pulling data into Agfiniti for analysis from an Incommand 1200, an Integra and a PF3000. I tried the trial version and it is not going to do what I want. So, thinking I will go the SMS Basic route. I noticed in the Agfiniti when I brought data together if it did not have an exact name match for the field, you could not overlay it. For example, my planter tractor with Incommand had varieties, starter fertilizer where as the same field with a slightly different name in the Integra for spraying would not show all the fertilizer and other applications but I could see just that on another farm/field view.
My PF3000 (which is being replaced by a PF Advantage but has the same field name functions) appears to be the one that I need to build all my names from as it could be more limited on characters.
I don't have SMS Basic now but curious if there are some guidelines for naming fields that I can get it right from the start for 2026? Should I start my free trial on SMS and build it from there and export them to each display?
I did find a tutorial on how to export fields. Confused that a PF series uses just a field name whereas other displays I use have the grower - farm - field hierarchy/structure.
Trying to measure twice and cut once as I start a new year with a plan to use my data.
