Prices 60% of current would make land a halfway competetive investment.
I don't consider a 5.5% return an OUTSTANDING investment, especially when I have to work the land to get that return. And thats roughly what $8000 land would return.
I think 5.5% is a respectable return on a (relatviely) stable investment.
