I'd tell young people that you can't pay for both land and cattle at the same time. Build the herd, get it paid for, run rented ground. Have a straight job while you're building. Run plain cows with a popping good bull. Once you've built the factory, then you can start thinking about heavy investments (land, buildings, infrastructure). Live cheap and pour it all into the business.
