Subject: Deere Op Center Merging Fields

EC IL
I have a few farms that we used to farm "East 80" and "West 80" in different crops but are combining this year into one bigger field and one crop.

Should I merge one field into the other and rename it?
Or do I create an entirely new field "Field name 160" and merge both the old ones into it?

I can archive the old fields but then can't access their data that I know of. Don't really want to keep a field that no longer exists in the active fields area.

I've tried mapping boundaries in the past but never liked the boundary track option. I want to keep trying as it'll make it easier if the tillage guy doesn't need to line up, re-enter AB line, drive forward, check, adjust, repeat till correct. Then planter can do the same....just have to figure out the offset numbers somehow
