Driftless SW Wisconsin | I've got some 2 yr old wrapped hay bales that has some holes in the plastic from wildlife, mostly hawks and other birds, maybe some other critters. I need to use this baleage or will have to buy some more to get me to early May start of grazing season.
I took one bale today, dropped it a few times to break up the ice just under the plastic then unrolled it by pushing it down the hill.
Turns out that once I got the outer 6" or so unrolled the rest of it was good. Cows and calves went right to it. That's a relief.
