| I have a couple of Mueller rate controllers that are collecting dust and I'm working on putting ISO rate control on a pull type sprayer. I have an old harnessing guide from a CNH dealer when they sold these that has a section for dry spreader control. Most of the part numbers appear to be good on Vantage AG, but I can't seem to find much for documentation online about the spreader application. Everything is all centered on liquid control. We use a couple of these for liquid control and are happy with the results. The two extras I have are the version 3 that can be reprogrammed.
Is the dry spreader software crappy or now that Trimble owns Mueller and AGCO owns Trimble, the other uses for the Mueller forgotten about? I'd prefer to use what I have on the shelf and know to work well at other applications, but I guess I want to double check that I'm not doing something I'd regret. Unlocking a Raven RCM to two product plus spinner control isn't exactly cheap when it looks like I can run two rates plus spinner speed with one controller I already own. I remember seeing these controllers on some pull type spreaders at farm shows. Anyone know why Trimble/Mueller quit talking about it? Anyone have pin-out schematics even maybe so I can get this box converted from the raven CAN controllers on it now? | |
