swohio | Same here in Ohio, very interesting to see where these old lines were. I'd say once we got good roads that's when a whole bunch of short spur lines closed down. It still is something that there was this many rail lines around. I can't imagine they were ever cheap to build. Labor back in the day sure was, Grand Lake St Mary's in west central Ohio was a hand dug lake that is 10 miles long, just something else to think what happened way back when. | |
