Alberta | Immustart, IG50. I believe they are supposed to get 100IG in their first 24 hours, but 100IG colostrum is 2x or more expensive and and with 50IG at least I know they have had some. some people figure 2 quarts/L will kill them if they have sucked, but I have probably bagged 1500 calves over the years and have not killed one from over feeding, though I will admit I have killed a couple from going down the windpipe. I have learned over the years to not get in a hurry and let the calve swallow the tube, rather than push. | |
