Western Ontario | That’s a good strategy. Our winter 2 year olds calve in a separate spot and we know we’ve had lots of stealing in the past. This year we’ve basically separated calved from uncalved to hopefully prevent it, more work and time and a couple more panels and gates but would only have to save one calf to get a pretty good roi. We have occasionally in the past had calves hit the 10 day mark get sick and nothing would seem to bring them back, guessing there wasn’t any colostrum there for them when they were born.
