Subject: Have used it to lay out tile lines

Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
The only time I've ever used auto steering in reverse was when I was using a "scratcher" for laying out tile lines. This was a 3 point tool that consisted of a single tooth on a 3 point carrier. The tiling machine used these scratch marks to lay out the branch lines.

This was for situations where several branch lines would be parallel to each other and a consistent distance apart. I eyeballed the first line and set an AB line. I set the swath width to the desired spacing.

I found that I could pull on to a new pass, engage auto steer, stop once the tractor was online and back up with auto steer engaged which would keep me on the line. I would then stop, drop the scratcher and drive forward. Auto steer remained engaged and I left a nice straight scratch mark for the tiling machine. Having the line go all the way back to the main was probably unnecessary but it worked fine.

This was with an Ag Leader system, I'm not certain how far I could have backed up. I assume my system would have "kicked out" after a while also.

I have never tried using auto steer with a snow blower. We have a 3 point snow blower but don't use it much anymore. We found that a pusher blade made out of a used rubber track works better. The rubber track gives a bit if you hit small obstacles.
