On a side note: A friend and I go to an auction twice a year in southern Illinois. Bratwurst are always available at the concession stand, but seem to be way overcooked... not burnt, but no juiciness (sp?) left in in them... kinda dry and flavorless. I've seen many locals scarffing 'em down. I tried one, once, no thanks. Is that local/ regional way of cooking them or just whoever cooks them for that event wants to make sure they're well done? | |
