In Missouri a brand has to be registered to be legal. A hot brand is not hard to apply, if you have a squeeze chute. Hip, rib or shoulder, on right or left side. Pick your spot and get it registered. Everyone else is right, L&H is the best. They can be hard to read in the winter with long hair and some hay on their backs.
