Subject: Beef cow feed?

ND
I run few more than 100 cows. Calf out April/May and usually feed calves until February. With these prices sold off cow in December past year. Been chopping 30-40 acres corn silage past few years and grinding two year old alfalfa and prairie hay. Just got a message from my custom chopper he is no longer chopping. I have another guy I could possibly get but he is real busy and may not get there in time. If I went to an oats/pea mix to chop I think I could get him pretty timely. Just wondering If I would be going backwards doing this? I don't finish any animals and don't push calves super hard. My corn usually in the 130-150 bushel range.
