Why would creators intentionally lose money?
Buying puts and calls can be a suitable risk management strategy. Doing so in hopes of long term profits is about like going to a casino where you know the odds are stacked against you and believing you will long term come out ahead.
Betting against the odds is not a good long term strategy.
As long as a person recognizes laying risk off to another party has costs, then a person will not be disappointed.
