Top of Texas | When looking at a bull do you guys give any consideration to the bull’s dam? If I can make this make sense- For example if you’ve been buying from the same outfit for awhile and the dam of Bull XYZ is a half sister to a really good bull that you owned but no longer have for whatever reason and the parent bull is no longer in service, I’d think you’d be getting some of those genetics back by buying bulls out of cows who were sired by that particular bull. | |
