Subject: Burning Hedge Brush Piles

West Central Illinois
Cleaning up a hedge row i took posts out of last year amd left the brush over summer til now to dry and burn. Given hedge doesn't stack well it took me probably 20 gallon of diesel to get these piles burnt good on 150 yd stretch with more to do.

Ive just been flinging fuel out of a 5 gallon can onto the pile, has anyone figured out anything to get a finer spray on the pile for better coverage? It seems like if a guy could mist it on there he'd get the whole thing to light up all at once for an even burn and not have a bunch of leftover stuff once the fire goes out.
