Coles County, Illinois | I'd start with pricing the logistical equipment needed to supply a self propelled sprayer first. I can't tell what you need as each operation is different. Spraying a couple thousand acres isn't the same as spraying for a couple thousand acres. Trading sprayers is easier than trading pumps, tanks, mixing cones, meters, water sources and so on and so forth. I see too many guys with really expensive sprayers trying to nurse with a pickup pulling a 1200 gallon trailer and buying hot loads off their fertilizer dealer. The real money savings are buying generic chemicals off wholesale distributors. | |
