SW OH | I feed in 2 J&Ls that have 18 openings and I am feeding wheatledge. The 17 cows with 7 calves and bull have full access to 1, and half of the other. The other side of second has 7 weaned calves. I can put a bale in each that look the same to me after cleaning them. The next day the community rack will be empty the next day while the cow only rack is mostly untouched. If the community rack gets a drier bale or 1 with a bad spot, they will eat them down evenly. I think my cows are trying to compete with the calves on the other side.
