The docility rating and 50% would concern me in a small or mid size rotational grazing operation. And what are his calves doc ratings going to be like?
I can honestly say the DOC rating is one EPD I did not look at or even consider when evaluating this bull.
Environment and how they are handled plays a huge role in the docility of any animal.
Throw an Angus bull on your Herefords and I bet those calves would automatically have a higher Doc rating. But they would learn your rotation system (and you rotating them) by following the cow around and they would be just fine.
