Implants will increase the growth curve in cattle. Running on grass or growing slow in a feedlot will help make up for the lack of frame….but they will take more days on feed doing this and still won’t finish at as high of a weight….smaller framed cattle have less value as feeder cattle and that price difference needs to be figured in when deciding what size cows you need/want to run


I agree that they have less value and that price difference needs to be factored in. and I think that is often over looked by alot of the experts and studies out there. and thats ultimately why I ask the question. can you have small framed 1100 pound super low maintenance cows, and still have sought after feeder calves?
