Those are probably culls not number ones. A lot of different varieties of carrots that are different shapes and sizes. Some of ours will get bigger than the ones you normally see in the stores. It's surprising the size of some of the carrots we grow in this silly clay loam soil in our garden. You don't pull carrots from that soil you use a digging fork.
