North central SD | Tag, 7way, inforce3,calf guard, probiotic paste for gut health, and iodine for the naval, some say this is too much for a new born, to each their own. Last few years we have been at 100% on the calf crop, with a few twins to make up for the few deaths at birth. Calf cage makes it easy to do this. I forgot to add, if they don't suck right away, they get a good colostrum mix, sometimes even if they have sucked and the cow doesn't look like her bag is come fully into milk, we will give colostrum too.
