Subject: RE: JD Link

Northern Indiana
No need for a dealer to remote into a display to see codes if the JDLink Modem is on the CAN or connected to the diagnostic port. The codes are in operations center tied to the serial number of the tractor, permission needs to be granted for dealers to see serial numbers. Deere has been working on proactive alerts, but if someone at a dealer is sitting around watching codes all day they don't have enough to do

With JDLink, the dealer (or you) can remote into the tractor and see the exact same thing as what is shown on the display(s) in the cab, to see the codes.

That functionality is no different than reading the codes off to the dealer over the phone. After knowing the code, the dealer could figure out if that is something simple or a nuisance code or requires further troubleshooting with a technician and a laptop.
