EC Nebraska | We only grow corn and soybeans anymore. Sorghum leaves the soil softer and seems to improve water infiltration. I've had split fields where you could tell the difference planting the new crop three years later.
Weed control is always a problem in the sorghum itself, but those weeds seem to clean up easier in the next crop. And the corn and beans seem to yield better with the longer rotation. | |
