Subject: RE: AI failure (artificial intelligence)

East central Iowa

easymoney - 1/30/2026 19:17 AI is as good as the questions being asked. Where are you starting from, and where in Washington are you going to. I put this question into 2 different AI and asked it to answer your questions even though you don't have a start or end point. They gave 3 different trips based on different locations in Iowa to start from. Also a selection of vehicles. I can't copy and paste otherwise I would have shared their answers. In literally a couple more questions it could have your route, stays, gas stations, food stop all planned out,

Just to elaborate, I gave both AI's much more detailed information than I posted here.  I've used AI for some software development and a few other things so I'm familiar with inputting enough details and for AI to give a useful and accurate response.

Starting point and time of start for each day, and time ideally to stop.
Ending address.
Vehicle MPG
Average anticipated speed.
Average miles between refueling.
Average hours of travel between rest stops.
Types of roads to travel on.
Motels that have nightly rooms for <= $125
Approximate date of departure and return  (noting it's a round trip)
No sight seeing.
I think that is sufficient information to create an itinerary.
I used ChatGPT and  NinjaAI , both have done okay for HTML, Macro's and Python
