GrainBelt - 1/30/2026 18:46 just got our pork today from the butcher too. 214 hanging weight. $350 for the pig. $401 for processing. put 143 pounds in the freezer. $5.25 a pound. seemed kinda high to me but thats the cost of not wanting to raise and butcher them myself.
$350 for the hog? That's like a $1.20/lb live. Is that for some sort of specialty hog?
Processing sounds high also but that is highly dependent on what you have done.
