Hooker Twp,Ne | What ever card you get make sure that you set it up that when you charge on it that you get a text message about the charge. Last fall on a Friday evening I recieved a phone call saying that they were from my credit card company and that they thought I may have a charge placed on my card that was illegal. They had my name and address and of course my phone number. They had charge that was for almost 2k. I told them I didn’t believe them because I wasn’t notified via text message. After a bit of argument I hung up on them. Later that night I checked the phone number and it showed my credit card company bank in New York. So I called the customer service number on my credit card and luckily there was no charge placed on my card and that I hadn’t given the scammers any info. And that I had text message on charges to my account. So the scammers used an actual credit card bank phone number to make themselves look originally from the bank. | |
