Windom, MN | So my old PC will not run Windows 11 and I'm computer shopping, but I don't know what I need.
I would like something more portable than my current desktop. I've become much more involved with boards so having something to take along should help.
Would like Microsoft Office, it's what I'm used to.
Also use PC Mars for farm books.
It will basically be a business laptop. Typing minutes for various meetings, checking emails, doing some presentations for projects, and keeping farm books. It will probably hold some photos too? I'm using a cloud now but not everything is there.
I do have a Lenovo E15 at work with a number pad on the side which is nice, it's more like a standard keyboard. But it's 5 years old now and needs to be replaced as well. USB ports are starting to not work.
Is one manufacturer more reliable than another on these? I would like it a little rugged to take the abuse of going to meetings, but will likely sit in a dock most of the time at home.
