A Carrier is pretty useless without a support fleet. Pretty much all the rest of China's surface fleet is about the size of a Frigate, and diesel powered. They're all short distance. Power projection is a system, not a ship. The Chinese are a decade or more from developing any kind of a system, if they ever do. They simply cannot project the kind of power, the distance they would need to, to be any kind of actual threat to Greenland. Ditto Russia. Their fleet is pretty much bottled up at the moment, and subject to constant surveillance. What we are doing in regards to Russian power projection won't change one iota with the "acquisition" of Greenland. What will change, is Trumps Billionaire buddies being able to A) go in and start their "techno-feudal" cities, or B) rape whatever mine-able resources they can find. It's about money, and who can make it.
