Brother tells me the current economics are 4 of every ten bushels of corn are delivered to ethanol plants. Year round E15 implementation will take that to 6 of every 10. An overnite increase in demand of 50%.


Do we actually have the grind capacity for that? It's not overnight if new plants have to be built to process it.

As you say, it's only a temporary benefit anyway. Farmers will always keep their margins tight, no matter the price of grain.
I can’t answer that question with any degree of certainty, but brother sure could. I could prolly arrange a discussion if you’d like to pick his brain.
