Middlesex County, Ontario | There isn't much you can do now other than buying what you need for your trip and waiting out the bag situation.
In the future
1. Don't ever check a bag unless it's absolutely necessary. And don't ever check anything that you NEED.
2. Put a tag with contact information on all of your luggage, including carry on and backpacks/purses (personal items). Include your name and phone number. Also include the phone number of any travel SIM that you might be using.
3. Put an air tag or similar tracker in all your luggage, including carry on and backpacks/purses (personal items).
