Yep, ethanol is very dependent on gasoline usage. We can't blend if gasoline is not being used. There is a lose connection that would be enhanced with e-15
Shadow, My brother had ten minutes with the president few days ago when he was in iowa, complete with article in the Des Moines Register along with his and Tumps picture. This was at the invitation only meeting ahead of the rally at the Machine Shed restaurant. The day before, the corn growers and im guessing also Growth Energy, since brother is on the board, took out a full page ad in the Register expressing the need for year round E15. Brother laid a full copy of that ad on the table and Trump read it, reached in his pocket and pulled out his pen and signed it. But this is something Congress needs to approve, he will sign it into law. Brother tells me the current economics are 4 of every ten bushels of corn are delivered to ethanol plants. Year round E15 implementation will take that to 6 of every 10. An overnite increase in demand of 50%. He also explained that Kansas has taken the lead at the pump in labeling, and has the model to emulate. 4 choices. E85, 87 regular, 89 premium and 93 super premium. None of the 3 choices to the right of e85 will have any sort of flex fuel only warnings, The actual blends would be 10%, not sure whatever it is to get it to 89, guessing 17% And the super premium is 30%. Kansas weights and measures has been tracking consumer choices since the rollout of this labeling, and 75% of gallons pumped are super premium. EPA has so far been keeping their nose out of it cuz there hasnt been a single fuel related consumer complaint. So we are on the threshold of an all new demand monster. Edit too add; The guy to the right in the corner is State Rep Zach Nunn, thats his cute daughter with the farmers for Trump dress on. The other fella in the background is Congressman Randy Feenstra. Both of those guys flew from DC to Iowa with Trump that morning, so he got an earful of issues out on the farm for a couple hours. So for you complainers out there "wheres the corn growers" or bitching about checkoff dollars, "i want my money back" this is what kind of results your membership/checkoff dollars gets you. Brother is on the front lines every single day fighting for access at the pump, and its truly a battle.
