Dude, China is thousands of miles from Greenland, and can't project power past their own Island Chains. Russia can't even get their fleet out of the Black Sea or Baltic, and don't even have an aircraft carrier that works. They're about zero threat to Greenland. The answer to Greenland is that some of his Billionaire buddies want to **** it like a 13 yr old at an Epstein party.
China is currently building a modern, world class navy.
It is forecast that by mid century, China will be able to project power around the globe much like the U.S.
They already have us beat in numbers (hull count )
Chinese naval building infrastructure is 200 times the U.S. capacity.
Now is the time for the U.S. and it's allies to control the gameboard, to include Greenland. These guys will never be able to comprehend all that.
What I "comprehend" is that after serving with NATO many times in my 32 year career I have often been underwhelmed at their capabilities and resolve. Perhaps that is why Iceland has (no standing army) has had a bilateral defense agreement with the U.S. since 1951. That makes us primarily responsible for Iceland's defense.
Perhaps there are reason that we are not privy to that underly the sudden interest in making Greenland a U.S. possession. | |
