i`ll admit I don`t know a lot of this stuff, but isn`t $19,000 per parent per child that can be gifted without triggering gift tax?
Anyone can gift anyone up to $19k in 2026. That’s the annual gift tax exclusion. Anything beyond that goes towards the gifter’s lifetime estate tax credit.
There is no real tax that is triggered to the giver or receiver on this $19k gift.
