Pittsburg, Kansas | I've had swings in my off farm investments account totals that change daily which at one time would either been happy or distressed if our farming operation reflected that in a year. Boggles my mind.
Fun on the way up. Not so much on the way down. It's one reason we went from essentially zero cash to about 30% overall cash in the off farm accounts in the last four months. Taking a few profits and paying some taxes.
Even with that, the swings can still be stunning. But even if gold and silver went to zero, we would still have more money in the accounts than three years ago because of the cash position drawing 3.5%+ interest. Crazy.
If we weren't so boring it would be a life changing event.
