So.... gifting gets estate $ amount down that goes through probate but DOES NOT get a stepped up in basis but if ya set up a Revokable Trust ( which ya see a lot of now), you get the value of the property not going through probate plus the value of stepped up in basis but also have a cost of setting up the trust?
