Today marks 7 years of the wife's double masctomey. She had chemo and other treatment before surgery and no cancer was found when they did surgery.
Thanks again to all who supported our family during that rough and trying stretch.
She still takes pills daily as part of the prevent any reoccurrence. Still dealing with all the side effects of going through that and the treatments but much better than the other options.

My wife went through it 13 years ago. Your are right, the side effects last a long time, some are probably permanent. The pills get better after 10 years. She was allowed to stop taking some of them.
But, she is still here and that is the most important thing.
