Anyone can inherit a dollar takes something else to turn it into 2,3,4 more dollars…me personally I do t want my kids to farm anymore let em rent it out and piss on the headache.
honestly if you raised "managers" and had enough land owned that they can make good side income id rather see my kids be able to work the job they want and supplement it with land rent, rather then work they job they have to because of the pay needed. my family lives into their 90's/80's typically, so when youre being real thinking about it my kids probably wouldn't inherit anything till the end of their working carreers even if it was enough, but thats my dream for them with this if they don't want to farm themselves. i have a 8 year old and a 4 year old and we started a sweetcorn patch for them in 2025. maybe theyll be the next Beasley's Orchard around here and i can just work for them? |
