I was at Husker Harvest Days in Nebraska. The booth that sold kettle corn had it on a tiny TV behind them and many people were gathering around.
One of our good friends down here in Bonaire retired here. He was a firefighter who at the time was in the bay teaching diver firemen. Had he not been doing that exercise he would have been in a tower that fell with some of his buddies. He has permanent lung damage from his involvement in recovery. Still dives and teaches scuba but has to limit and be careful because of his lungs. Uses a full face mask instead of a regular regulator mouthpiece.
You mean 9-11-2001 Husker Harvest Days is in September. I was there too that day.
The Challenger disaster was in January 1986. |
