Pittsburg, Kansas | I have not heard of that letter. But most of my research was ten to fifteen years ago. I bought a bunch 4 years ago after wrapping up the farm, but just additional to what I already owned.
I do keep track of GLD and SLV in my Yahoo account where I keep a loose track of 7 different accounts (personal, corporate and several different IRA).
I did notice the other day both of those were up when all my other stuff was down. Thought it might have just been a mistake or Yahoo not keeping up. Guess it was probably real.
Back years ago when I was buying smaller amounts and dollar cost averaging in I would pay attention to the discount. And in fact one year sold some CEF and bought some PSLV because of the discrepancy.
But all my sales the last 4 months have just been GTC orders and got filled no matter the discount. Hadn't really paid any attention to it till I noticed the anomaly.
