Subject: RE: Tankless water heater

SW Ohio
When we built our new house in 2023 we put in Richmond tankless LP units. I ran the flow calculations abd temperature rise based on ground temp and went with 2 heaters that are linked together with a cable and fires both if needed.
I absolutely love them, we can run every faucet in the house on hot and never run out of hot water, which is nice when I shower after my wife and three daughters.
I do wish I would have added a recirculation pump and line, unfortunately I let my plumber talk me out of it.

I have heard they are a bit more sensitive to hard water scale, I did also add a water softener and only soft water goes through them.
I really like the water softener too, clothes and dishes get cleaner and there is very little soap scum in the shower.
