Subject: RE: Tankless water heater

Brazos Valley
Don’t buy a State brand tankless.
Buy a Rinnai brand tankless.

Edit: forgot to say gas, never buy an electric tankless

We had a state for two years and it had a filter on it that was supposed to prevent scale buildup in the heat exchanger. That filter failed twice clogging my entire hot water circuit with media.
I went back with a Rinnai but I installed the flush valves that are needed to flush the heat exchanger periodically. It’s a whole lot quieter of a machine than the State was too.

We had to go to a tankless due to our very cold incoming water in the winter. Our incoming water gets as low as 40 degrees and it doesn’t take long to temper a 40g tank with that cold of water coming in. Now my entire family can shower and no one runs out of hot water.
