95 miles NW of Quitaque, TX | For the people that do not have a cell phone you can get tablets with cell phones in the tablet. This also gets you a data plan to use outside of wifi range. Don't worry you do not have to put the tablet to your ear. When I talk to people on my Pixel 9a phone I leave the phone flat and turn on the loud speaker. My wife taught me that. I also do the same thing in the vehicle. I do not need to look at the phone or have the phone on my ear which can get you a fine. I just talk and look out to drive.
I am saying this that you could use the tablet as a phone. I actually think my pixel is better flat on the table than on my ear.
