Anyone who drives around Minnesota this time of year and sees the black and brown snow knows it is true
The farm to the west side of me is rented to a large dairy. When it is planted to corn those fields get chisel plowed every fall. By spring time the snow banks on my side of the fence are brown/black from topsoil that has blown over to my side of the fence.
