KY | I have fiber now, but had starlink for 3 years. Consistently 100-140 mbps, fast enough even with everything wireless you'll never notice a difference. Never understood why homeowners get so caught up on more speed, I average 500+ on wireless devices now on fiber and zero noticeable difference from 100. 25 MBPS will stream 4K video, anything you're doing on a computer or tablet is going to use less than that, so unless you have 3 TV's streaming 4K at the same time AND trying to do some type of work with a device, most folks could never tell a difference.
Install is simple, especially if you're just going to use everything over wifi. The router isn't perfect, but it's good enough for 80% of folks' use I would think. Only thing that stinks is the connector that goes to the router is on the large side, so you need (I believe) a 3/4 hole to pass it through, I used a pair of split plastic grommets, one to enter the basement from outside and another up through the floor to the router. |
