Douglass Kansas | Oil production causes a lot of soil erosion too. There are places in one of our pastures that more than 6 feet of soil have washed away on an area of about 1 acre. This was caused by a salt water spill. Some oil producer still cause these to happen today and tell you that it is no big deal, and the state corporation commission agrees with them.
