Eastern NE KS | I'm happy with my Vermeer BPX9000. I have yet to have a mechanical problem, new in fall 2012 about 450 bales per year.
However, the short throated BPX9010 should do even better. I can sometimes plug the throat on my machine when processing 2 year old bales. The decomposed bale bottom will build up if I push too much wet hay feeding to the fails. Seems a little break will clear the wet stuff. New crop = no problem with the 9000 because there is little wet stuff. All bales outside with annual rainfall avg. 35".
